Abstract:

The aim of this paper is to study induced (quasi-)uniformities in Kramosil and Michalek's fuzzy metric spaces. Firstly, $I$-uniformity in the sense of J. Guti'{e}rrez  Garc'{i}a and $I$-neighborhood system in the sense of H"{o}hle and u{S}ostak are induced by the given fuzzy metric. It is shown that the fuzzy metric and the induced $I$-uniformity will generate the same $I$-neighborhood system. Secondly, the relationship between Hutton quasi-uniformities and $I$-quasi-uniformities is given and it is proved that the category of strongly stratified $I$-quasi-uniform spaces can be embedded in the category of Hutton quasi-uniform spaces as a bicoreflective subcategory. Also it is shown that two kinds of Hutton quasi-uniformities can generate the same $I$-uniformity in fuzzy metric spaces.

Quasi Uniformities: Reconciling Domains with Metric Spaces

We show that quasi-metric or quasi-uniform spaces provide, inter alia, a common generalization of cpo's and metric spaces as used in denotational semantics. To accommodate the examples suggested by computer science, a reworking of basic notions involving limits and completeness is found to be necessary. Specific results include general fixed point theorem and a sequential completion construction.

On metric spaces induced by fuzzy metric spaces

For a class of fuzzy metric spaces (in the sense of George and Veeramani) with an H-type t-norm,  we present a method to construct a metric on a  fuzzy metric space. The induced metric space shares many important properties with the given fuzzy metric space.  Specifically, they generate the same topology, and have the same completeness. Our results can give the constructive proofs to some probl...

Quasi-contractive Mappings in Fuzzy Metric Spaces

We consider the concept of fuzzy quasi-contractions initiated by '{C}iri'{c} in the setting of fuzzy metric spaces and establish fixed point theorems for quasi-contractive mappings and for fuzzy $mathcal{H}$-contractive mappings on M-complete fuzzy metric spaces in the sense of George and Veeramani. The results are illustrated by a representative example.

FORMAL BALLS IN FUZZY PARTIAL METRIC SPACES

In this paper, the poset $BX$ of formal balls is studied in fuzzy partial metric space $(X,p,*)$. We introduce the notion of layered complete fuzzy partial metric space and get that the poset $BX$ of formal balls is a dcpo if and only if $(X,p,*)$ is layered complete fuzzy partial metric space.

$psi -$weak Contractions in Fuzzy Metric Spaces

In this paper, the notion of $psi -$weak contraction cite{Rhoades} isextended to fuzzy metric spaces. The existence of common fixed points fortwo mappings is established where one mapping is $psi -$weak contractionwith respect to another mapping on a fuzzy metric space. Our resultgeneralizes a result of Gregori and Sapena cite{Gregori}.
